Excellence in Cancer and Cardiac Recovery Rehabilitation: 75 Years and Counting

In celebration of Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation’s 75th anniversary, this 2.5 hour evening in person live event will provide attendees with an overview of an interdisciplinary approach to managing orthostatic hypotension of cardiac recovery patients and understanding the oncologic and functional prognosis of cancer patients participating in an inpatient rehabilitation program. The speakers include Kessler Institute’s Directors of Cancer Rehabilitation and Cardiac Recovery programs and will cover a broad range of topics including understanding non pharmacological and pharmacological management, appropriate goals for treating orthostatic hypotension utilizing oncologic history and performance status to understand prognosis and leveraging this understanding to maximize patient’s rehabilitation course. Rehabilitation challenges such as aphasia, behavior management, and transition from hospital to home.
