Kessler Institute Again Named among the Nation’s Best in Rehabilitation by U.S. News & World Report
Kessler Institute is the only rehabilitation hospital in New Jersey to be named to the prestigious “Best Hospitals” list and is also highest-ranked for rehabilitation in New York and Pennsylvania.
“We are honored that Kessler continues to be ranked as one of the very best rehabilitation hospitals in the country,” said Sue Kida, president, Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation. “This is testimony to our unwavering commitment to providing the highest level of safe, quality care to individuals with complex injuries and illnesses and helping them rebuild their lives. We are proud of our more than 2,200 Kessler employees and inspired by the more than 7,000 patients and their families who choose us for their rehabilitation each year.”
The annual rankings are designed to assist patients and their doctors in making informed decisions about where to receive care for challenging health conditions. According to U.S. News Managing Editor and Chief of Health Analysis Ben Harder, “For more than 30 years, U.S. News & World Report has been helping patients, along with the help of their physicians, identify the Best Hospitals in an array of specialties, procedures and conditions. The hospitals that rise to the top of our rankings and ratings have deep medical expertise, and each has built a track record of delivering good outcomes for patients.”
“To be ranked fourth among the nearly 1,200 inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and units in the country is profound acknowledgement of Kessler Institute’s leadership in patient care, as well as in research, education and patient advocacy,” added Dr. Bruce M. Gans, Kessler Institute’s chief medical officer.
Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation, in collaboration with Kessler Foundation, is one of only seven federally-designated Model Systems in the nation for the treatment and research of both traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury. The hospital also provides innovative care to individuals with stroke, neurologic diseases, amputation, orthopedic trauma, cancer, cardiac and other disabling conditions.
Kessler Institute has four hospital campuses in West Orange, Saddle Brook, Chester and Marlton, New Jersey, and more than 95 outpatient Kessler Rehabilitation Center locations throughout the state.
