Lauren McDonagh, P.T.

Director, Rehabilitation Services

Lauren McDonagh is the director of inpatient rehabilitation services at the hospital’s Saddle Brook campus and represents the therapy disciplines across all campuses as a member of Kessler Institute’s leadership team. She is responsible for daily clinical oversight, program development, treatment protocols, staff education, training and competency and regulatory compliance. She is also the administrative lead of Kessler’s program teams.

Lauren, who joined Kessler in 1990 as a staff therapist, previously served as the assistant director of therapy at the Saddle Brook campus. In her current role, she is active in the hospital’s clinical oversight, provision of care, performance improvement, infection control, utilization review and employee engagement committees, as well as the Select Medical inpatient rehab division’s therapy and education groups.

A co-investigator on a research study on the use of upper extremity robotics, Lauren has lectured, written articles and presented posters on stroke rehabilitation and other therapy-related topics.

Lauren graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy and is a past member of the schools’ admission advisory board.
