Michelle O'Keefe, P.T., MPT, MHA

CEO, West Orange

Michelle O’Keefe, CEO of Kessler Institute’s West Orange campus, oversees the hospital’s day-to-day clinical and administrative operations, including the delivery of safe, quality care, employee engagement, regulatory compliance, facility management, financial performance and overall governance.

Prior to her appointment to this role, Michelle served as the chief operating officer and assistant vice president of business development, responsible for the market growth of Kessler Institute’s four inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and Select Specialty Hospital – Northeast N.J. She previously was director of outpatient rehabilitation at Kessler’s Saddle Brook campus where, in addition to her clinical responsibilities, she assisted senior leadership in assuring compliance with CMS (Medicare), The Joint Commission and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) standards.

Michelle is a member of the North East Cerebrovascular Consortium, American Physical Therapy Association and American College of Healthcare Executives.

A graduate of Ithaca College with a master’s degree in physical therapy, Michelle also holds a master’s in health care administration from Seton Hall University.
