Sue Kida is executive advisor and past president of Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation. With 40 years of leading Kessler’s team to tremendous growth and success, Sue continues to play an instrumental role in Kessler’s future strategy and direction. For the past eight years, she served as president of Kessler and previously served for as vice president and chief operating officer.
Since joining Kessler in 1982 as a staff physical therapist, Sue has held positions of increasing responsibility, including director of rehabilitation services and assistant vice president of administration. She has been instrumental in implementing new programs, improving patient outcomes and building strong relationships within the health care community. Sue has also helped to ensure the hospital’s successful tri-annual Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and Joint Commission accreditation surveys.
Sue has presented at national meetings and conferences, including the American Medical Rehabilitation Providers Association (AMRPA), American Academy Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPMR) and the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
Sue earned a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from the State University of New York at Stoney Brook and a master’s in health care administration from Seton Hall University.
