Brian McInerney, M.D.
Dr. McInerney specializes in neurologic and complex medical rehabilitation.
Dr. Brian McInerney is a staff physiatrist at Kessler Institute’s Saddle Brook campus, experienced in the inpatient and outpatient care of individuals with stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, cancer and multi-trauma. He is also interested in spasticity management and sports and musculoskeletal medicine.
Board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation, Dr. McInerney has conducted research, published journal articles and presented on a variety of topics related to critical illness neuropathy and myopathy, spinal and orthopedic/musculoskeletal injuries and quality improvement.
He is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Association of Academic Physiatrists, American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine and the American Medical Association, and holds a faculty appointment at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School - Department of Physical Medical and Rehabilitation.
Dr. McInerney received a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology exercise and sports science from Michigan’s Wayne State University and medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in St. Maarten. He completed residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital in Michigan and, in 2021, joined Kessler Institute.
