Dr. Avolio specializes in all aspects of medical rehabilitation.

Dr. Jock Avolio, a staff physiatrist at Kessler’s Saddle Brook campus, is experienced in the care and treatment of individuals with a range of complex medical rehabilitation needs. He is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation.

Prior to joining Kessler in 2021, Dr. Avolio worked as a physiatrist with a large orthopedic group in New Jersey. Earlier, he served as chief in the division of acute inpatient rehabilitative medicine at Phelps Memorial Hospital in New York. Dr. Avolio has also published extensively in medical and scientific journals and holds faculty appointment at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School – Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Dr. Avolio earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., and a master’s in anatomy, doctorate in anatomy and structural biology and medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York.
