Kathryn Gibbsl, D.O.Dr. Kathryn Gibbs is a staff physiatrist, specializing in spinal cord injury rehabilitation. She is board certified in both physical medicine and rehabilitation and spinal cord injury medicine.

Dr. Gibbs’ research interests focus on a range of spinal cord injury issues, including autonomic dysreflexia (a sudden rise in blood pressure), pain and other acute and chronic complications. She has published articles in peer reviewed journals, contributed chapters to several textbooks and presented at many national conferences.

A graduate of the University of Vermont, Dr. Gibbs earned her doctorate in osteopathic medicine from the New York C9llege of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine in New York and fellowship in spinal cord injury medicine through Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Dr. Gibbs joined Kessler Institute in 2019.
