This introductory course provides the framework of key spinal cord injury (SCI) concepts that include: clinical and functional impact of SCI, compensatory and restorative models of care and tools and strategies for the long-term acute care clinician to use within a long-term acute care setting. The online platform provides evidence based learning that is centered upon delivering patient-centered SCI care with an emphasis on maximizing functional outcomes and patient safety.
