Michelle O’Keefe, CEO of Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation (KIR) - Saddle Brook, oversees the 112-bed hospital’s day-to-day clinical and administrative operations, including the delivery of safe, quality care, employee engagement, regulatory compliance, facility management, financial performance and overall governance. Michelle previously served as CEO of KIR - West Orange.

Prior to her appointment of CEO, she was chief operating officer and assistant vice president of business development, responsible for the market growth of KIR’s four inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and Select Specialty Hospital - Northeast N.J. She previously was director of outpatient rehabilitation at Kessler’s Saddle Brook campus where, in addition to her clinical responsibilities, she assisted senior leadership in assuring compliance with CMS (Medicare), The Joint Commission and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) standards.

Michelle is a member of the North East Cerebrovascular Consortium, American Physical Therapy Association and American College of Healthcare Executives.

A graduate of Ithaca College with a Master of Physical Therapy, Michelle also holds a Master of Healthcare from Seton Hall University.
