Amir Rizkala, M.D.

Staff Physiatrist

Dr. Rizkala specializes in neurologic and orthopedic rehabilitation.

Dr. Amir Rizkala, a staff physiatrist at Kessler’s Saddle Brook campus, focuses on the complex rehabilitation needs of individuals with orthopedic trauma and neurologic injuries.

He has conducted both laboratory and clinical research, published journal articles, contributed to a textbook and presented nationally on a variety of topics related to spine and orthopedic injuries and degenerative musculoskeletal conditions. He also holds a faculty appointment at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School - Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Dr. Rizkala earned a bachelor’s degree in biomedical education from The City College of New York and medical degree from The State University of New York – Downstate School of Medicine. He also completed an orthopedic trauma post-doctoral research fellowship at the University of Minnesota-Regions Hospital. Dr. Rizkala joined Kessler Institute in 2021.
