Elinor M. Anan, M.D.

Director of amputee services

Dr. Anan specializes in amputee, orthopedic and spinal cord rehabilitation.

Dr. Elinor Anan is the director of amputee rehabilitation and oversees the amputee rehabilitation continuum from post-surgical limb care through pre- and post-prosthetic management and follow-up clinical services. Board certified in both physical medicine and rehabilitation and spinal cord injury, she also works with spinal cord, orthopedic and general rehabilitation needs.

Dr. Anan is also an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.

She is a member of the American Medical Association, New Jersey Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPMR) and has published articles in several national medical journals. Among her many honors, Dr. Anan is a recipient of the Henry H. Kessler, M.D., Award for Medical Excellence.

Dr. Anan graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor’s degree in biology and received her medical degree from Temple University. She complete a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (formerly the University of Medicine and Dentistry). She joined Kessler Institute in 1995.
