Dr. Jasey specializes in brain injury medicine and rehabilitation

Dr. Neil Jasey is the medical director at Kessler’s West Orange campus and serves as director of brain injury rehabilitation across all four of the hospital’s campuses. A clinical associate professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, he also the director of the Brain Injury Medicine Fellowship Program.

In addition, Dr. Jasey is the medical director of the Northern New Jersey Traumatic Brain Injury Model System, one of only 16 such programs in the nation for the research and treatment of brain injuries. He is the co-investigator, principal investigator and/or medical director on several studies related to brain injury, stroke and other neurologic issues.

Widely recognized for his expertise in his field, Dr. Jasey has presented at numerous national medical conferences. He is also a prolific writer, publishing articles published in many medical journals and contributing chapters to several textbooks on brain injury. Among his many honors, he received the Henry H. Kessler, M.D., Award for Medical Excellence.

Dr. Jasey is a fellow of American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is a Vice President on the Board of Trustees of the Brain Injury alliance of New Jersey and co-chair of its Resource Development Committee.

A graduate of Princeton University, Dr. Jasey received his medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (formerly the University of Medicine and Dentistry-New Jersey Medical School). He completed his residency and fellowship training in brain injury medicine at Kessler Institute/Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Board certified in both physical medicine and rehabilitation and brain injury medicine, Dr. Jasey Joined Kessler Institute in 2009.
